Pain Management Chiropractic

Today's chiropractic care consists of a holistic view of treatment. This means that we consider the whole body to be a connected system and treat it as such, rather than treating one individual part of the body. Your pain that runs down your leg can start in the nerves around your spine, while headaches can be explained by a combination of poor nutrition and lack of correct exercises. We take an individualized approach to each patient, assessing each person and his or her particular pain management problem. A surprising number of painful problems will respond to a chiropractic approach; it's not just for when you're suffering from an aching back

A Chiropractor Staff Who Will Treat Your Pain

The doctors here at DeBole Chiropractic are experienced in treating a wide variety of painful problems. Both Dr. DeBole and Dr. Shales are dedicated to helping you and your family live a happy and pain-free lifestyle. Here are some of the problems that they can treat:

Sciatica

Sciatica—that shooting pain that runs down your lower back and leg toward your heel—can cause you to limp painfully, or even prevent you from being able to walk. The pain is caused by the sciatic nerve being pinched between two spinal discs. Your chiropractor can use spinal manipulation and massage therapy to allow the nerve to gently be released from between the discs, allowing it to heal on its own. You will also learn exercises that may prevent flare-ups from happening again.

Migraines

Migraines cause hundreds of thousands of lost work hours every year. These debilitating headaches cause severe pain, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and even vomiting, in the worse cases. Our chiropractor will take X-rays to see how your spine is affecting your health. The doctor will use spinal manipulation to relieve the pressure that's causing your migraines. You may also receive lifestyle management guidelines on nutrition and stress relief.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome causes more financial pain than any other work related injury. It's a stress-related injury, in that it's caused by using the wrist for the same motion, over and over again, thousands of times. The muscles and ligaments in the wrist compress the nerve running up the arm, causing pain, tingling, or numbness of the wrist, hand, and fingers. Your doctor may use joint manipulation and might advise you on stretching and strengthening exercises.

If you're suffering from migraines, if you've been missing work because of the pain of sciatica or carpal tunnel syndrome, or if you simply have questions about chiropractic medicine relieving your chronic pain, we can help. Give us a call at 585-433-5680 and schedule an appointment at our Victor NY, branch.
